Disneyland: Prototype Of The Ideal City?
[ send me this paper ]
12 pages in length. Imagine a community with no crime, no disrepair, no unhappy residents, where there is always a sense of contentment and camaraderie floating in the air. This community is not a democracy, but residents do not seem to mind that their every decision is founded upon autocracy. Is this the description of yet another backward European country? No, this is the setting for one of the world's most beloved communities where everything appears perfectly Utopian: Disneyland. No individuality, no originality, no independence. Bibliography lists 12 sources.
